SPRING SUMMIT --- California Supreme Court Associate Justice Carlos Moreno and Senior Judge Thelton Henderson, U. S. District Court for the Northern District of California, are two of the featured speakers at the June 2-3 Spring Summit in San Jose. On site registration is available.
JNE --- The State Bar is seeking active members of the bar, former members of the judiciary and members of the public who wish to volunteer to serve on the 2007 Judicial Nominees Evaluation Commission (JNE). The application deadline is June 1.
ONE MONTH AWAY --- June 30 is the last day for attorneys in Districts 1,3,5,7 and 9 to vote for representatives on the State Bar and CYLA boards.
NOMINATE A JUDGE --- Nominations are open for the Benjamin Aranda III Access to Justice Award, given annually to a California judge or appellate court justice who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to equal access to the courts.

SPRING SUMMIT --- Online registration continues for the State Bar's Spring Summit in San Jose, June 2-3. The conference will focus on increasing diversity in the legal profession.
JUDICIAL AWARD --- Nominations are open for the Benjamin Aranda III Access to Justice Award, given annually to a California judge or appellate court justice who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to equal access to the courts.
VOTING CONTINUES --- Ballots were mailed May 1 to attorneys in each of the five State Bar districts with openings on the CYLA and bar boards.
WEIGH IN --- The State Bar is seeking public comment on a number of issues such as permanent disbarment, creation of a new legal specialty and proposed revisions to current bar membership rules.
FEE ARB IN SLO --- Recent developments in fee arbitration will be discussed at a June 8 free training program in San Luis Obispo.
MOVING? --- Under B&P section 6002.1, active and inactive members have 30 days to notify the State Bar about a change of address.
